Official Premiere of the Hyundai Veloster Coupe

Hyundai's finally released information about the much anticipated Veloster Coupe. The brand new entry-level sports coupe will be introduced at the 2011 North American International Auto Show, held in Detroit, in January of next year.

The Veloster will be available for sale in the United States in the first half of 2011. At first, the only model that will be available will be one with a 1.6L GDI four-cylinder engine but a 1.6L unit that has turbo technology and 175 horsepower will become available later in the year. A dual-clutch transmission will be included that has six speeds. The Veloster will get 40+ mpg on the highway. Prefer manual transmissions? You will be able to optionally select a six-speed manual transmission.

The Veloster is the replacement for the Tiburon. It will have sport aggressive styling, and if you have seen the pictures of the Veloster concept car, then you will see that it looks 70 or 80 percent like those pictures. You may not remember them - the concept was unveiled back in 2007.

Tips on Auto Insurance Quotes

If you want to make the most of the money that you have, you should take a look at the car insurance that you are paying. Many times, as your life changes, you will find that you could have been saving money if you had looked around more often at other auto insurance quotes. You spend a lot of your hard-earned money on your car insurance, so it pays to look around and see if you can save some money. Here are some tips on getting quotes and when you should look.

1. Just Do It

Every year, car insurance rates go up down, sometimes by hundreds of dollars! This is why you need to compare rates from different companies often, because you don't want to be paying more than you need to. Yet that raises the question: How often is enough?

After certain life events, it's a good idea to compare some quotes. If your unhappy with your current company or your premium goes up, it's time to compare. Whenever you move, buy a new car, add a new driver, have in increase in assets or salary, or your marital status changes, you should check other companies' prices. If it's been 2 years since you last looked, check the rates.

Don't put off checking on new rates. Check as soon as something changes.

2. Prepare to Get the Quote

It's very easy to get a quote on car insurance. If you have everything that you need, you can get a quote in as little as seven minutes from a company's website. Sometimes it takes even less time.

In order to get a quote you need to have the Current Insurance Declarations Page, year, make, model, and VIN number of your cars, how many miles you drive annually and the distance to your workplace, how much any aftermarket or custom equipment is worth, and the type of any theft recovery or alarm devices. You will also have to provide information about every member of your household who is old enough to drive, including their name, occupation, gender, how many years they have held a license, and their Driver's License number. You will need to include information about violations or accidents from the past three years. Include the dates, who's fault it was, whether or not someone was hurt, and how much the claim was.

3. Get What You Need

Before you start looking at quotes for new auto insurance, you should first look at the insurance you currently have. Make sure that your current policy offers you the protection level you want, or at least what you need. To lower your rate, you can increase your deductible. You might want to increase the liability limits on your policy so that it will cover a new income level or a new home. If you own an older car, it is important to find out what the car is worth. Sometimes you can save money by dropping the collision coverage on older vehicles when the insurance costs more than the vehicle is worth.

4. Check for Discounts

Different car insurance companies offer different discounts. If you have more than one car on the policy or you have safety features like anti-lock brakes, most companies will give you a discount. You might also see discounts for completing defensive driving courses or having a young driver who has taken driver's education courses. For the best quotes, you should always ask for discounts because most of the time they won't just offer them to you.

5. Compare

Make sure you compare the quotes that you receive. While the previous tips can help you get the best quotes for your needs, you need to shop around. Get quotes from at least three companies and compare everything – the price, the services offered, features, customer service, how easily you can talk to someone, and so on. You might find that it is worth it to pay a little more for better service. This way you can be sure to get the best rate.

The Service Value of Sales Prospects

Dealerships in the past believed that the value of a sales opportunity was realized only if a customer actually made a purchase. But in today’s world they are finding that the value comes from every aspect of their business. They are now realizing that it is necessary to integrate sales prospects by giving them information into their marketing database and even more important is that it should be a part of their marketing strategy.

When it comes to marketing strategies for service, a typical dealer will rely on the customer that had previously purchased a vehicle from their dealership as well as using them as a feeder for their business and other service opportunities. With the economy today, many service departments are having to deal with corresponding a reduction in their revenue. A recent press release by J.D. Power & Associates stated that dealer service traffic volumes are expected to decline through to 2013 which will result in a 25 percent decrease in total service dollars.

These days to bring in new service customers a store manager will need to come up ways to increase their business and many dealerships are finding out that with used car leads from third party providers will help in turning that into a new car sale.

When a sales person is sourcing floor or phone customers they need to be able to encourage a potential customer and obtain their email address so in the future they will be able to send an offers or specials directly to them. Those prospects that are not willing to give up their email addresses to a sales person might decide to do so in order to get that deal on service.

Dealers should be competing for a customers business by offering a service package that is designed to win them over to your service department even in the event that the customer had purchased their vehicle at a competitor’s dealership.

Regular emails, coupons, testimonials as well as other information about service packages should be sent out by the Service Managers which are designed to be competitive along with their quick lube service centers.
Whether it is a new or used car lead and it actually closes you can set another standard for a sales practices by offering your new customer a free service or even a coupon for a series of discounted services package. It might seem to be something obvious to some and probably even effortless for a marketing opportunity, however, many dealerships do not do this. Many new vehicle owners are wandering out their doors with pretty much no information about the dealerships service department and nor are they receiving an incentive to return for future servicing to that very vehicle that they just purchase from them.

A successful dealership will be able to find ways to bring in those unsold prospective buyers and unlock each and every lead’s true value by taking it a step further in expanding their lead sources. In turn those that are Internet Sales Managers may be able to obtain additional lead budget dollars if part of that investment could be absorbed by the dealerships service department and include it in their marketing budget.

In trying some new techniques, you could make your dealership have a jump in the service portion of your business during a time when it will be needed the most.
