American Honda Sales Up In October

October was a very good month for American Honda Motor Company, Inc. The company sold 98,811 vehicles . This is an increase of 19.8 percent on the daily selling rate. Year to date sales have reached 1,011,247, which is an increase of 5.1 percent over last year. 

The Honda Division alone had an increase of 20.2 percent in in October, selling 87,040 vehicles. The top selling Honda? The Accord, with an increase in sales of 8.8 percent, totaling 24,344. After the Accord was the CR-V and the Civic. The CR-V had an increase in sales of 19.4 percent, selling 18,040 vehicles. The Civic sold 17,121 vehicles and enjoyed an increase of 11.9 percent. The 2011 Odyssey has only been on the market for a month, and the model line has seen an increase of 52.2 percent. The redesign was an excellent choice for Honda, because it seems that people have not only taken notice, but are falling in love with the mini-van all over again. 
Another area that the Honda Division saw an increase in sales? Light trucks. The sale of light trucks has increased 37.8 percent and 41,463 were sold in October.
